Day 2Plenary 1.4 – Cyber Security: New Challenges to Data Protection and Data breaches

The speaker will first provide an overview of the six data protection principles under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance before exploring the common causes of data breach incidents in relation to cyber security in Hong Kong and discussing how to handle the incidents with case study. Practical tips for preventing data breaches will also be provided to audience.

Brad has joined the PCPD for 16 years since 2006. He oversees the Compliance & Enquiries Division and specialises in carrying out compliance actions, handling data breach incidents and public enquiries.

Brad is a seasoned investigator with vast experience in enforcement work concerning data breach incidents in Hong Kong. He obtained a Master of Laws Degree at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
