Day 2: Plenary 1.3 – 9 months into the new China Cybersecurity and Data Privacy requirements
Companies are working with ever-increasing volumes of data and subsequently face both increased risk and opportunities.
China’s Cybersecurity Law, Data Security Law and Personal Information Protection Law (“PIPL”) have now been implemented. Companies inside and outside of China continue to monitor the ongoing updates and guidelines issued in the recent months. With the recent major fines issued of major data and privacy breach and the stringent requirements on cross border data transfer under these laws, companies have limited time to comply, understand their exposure to the data security and protection requirements and rectify non-compliance matters.
